Looking for a mechanic
For the museum we are looking for a mechanic to help a couple of projects move along. The task is not to fully restore objects, but only help in certain areas. Hence, we are looking for a mechanic to help a minimum of 2 hours per week or 8 hours per month, which ever suits the situation better.
Initially we would work out of a home garage (in Brakkeput area) and eventually move to the museum.
Examples of projects are to:
assist with the restoration of the funny car “Tequila Sunrise”,
help fix and maintain the “Hot Wheels” Legend race car,
help finish the Bad Banana Camaro pro stock car, currently in production,
maintain a couple of go karts (VKC),
help maintain marine outboard engines of J-Hydroplanes (PRC),
help restore/maintain a variety of other museum objects.
If you feel you could give a meaningful contribution to our museum and would to know more about this vacancy, please contact us at +5999 511 5615

For this position we believe the following people might be a good match; retired or nearing retirement combustion engine mechanics, retired individuals who are WABI owners or enthusiasts, past drag race participants who still love the sport and want to help preserve the history, young and technical individuals with a high appreciation of older cars and motorsports related objects. Finally, mechanics who have a few hours available in the weekends or after work week days.
