Museum has a new home

Our little “niche” museum has been closed since the start of the pandemic, some five years ago. But after careful evaluation we decided in 2022 that we needed a new museum building which could also house a small collection of race cars, which was something most of the museum’s visitors wanted to see. A suitable location was identified and the official paperwork was submitted. However, three years on and we’re still waiting on the government to complete the process and assign to us the plot of land.

And since we still get the occasional request from tourists to visit the museum, we recently decided to move some of the exhibits to a temporary location: the museum curator’s personal garage. Though we’re aware that this is not an ideal solution, it’s one we must live with as we wait on the government.

We hope to be able to open the museum to the general public by the end of September 2025. At this juncture visiting the museum will be possible on an appointment bases only, free of charge.
